| Fogwick
Ruler: Unruled officially, but several gangs fight for dominance Population: High Wealth: Extremely poor Law enforcement: Practically none Education: Extremely low Located about as far away from Serenity as it is possible to be whilst still being within the same kingdom, Fogwick is a large slum district housing the very poor and unable. Many of the wealthy from the other districts will never set foot here, and many mothers tell their children horror stories of this place to ensure they will never want to visit. It is a place where disease runs rampant, crime is a constant threat and the air is heavy with the stink of decay, rot and mould. The only true businesses here are the tanneries, maggot farms and slaughterhouses. Unguarded by the Watchmen and with a population made up of the very poor, sick and infirm, this area is ripe for those collecting for the slave trade. What little the people have is often at serious risk of being stolen by other desperate souls, and the gang warfare in this district can make even walking down the street deadly. Occasionally rulers from the other districts will use Fogwick as a dumping ground for rule breakers and other miscreants they no longer wish to have amongst civilised society. Places of InterestPikemarket Place – The closest that Fogwick has to a trading area, Pikemarket is a small bustling market with the closest thing to guards that Fogwick has to offer. The things traded here vary widely from herbs collected along the shores of the river through to tanned hides and maggots for fishing. There is also a fairly large black market trade of stolen and illegal goods. Lazy River – The water in this river runs perpetually slowly, not due to any natural reason but purely due to the amount of sludge and grime within it. Used as a dumping area for everything from scraps to chamberpot contents to dead bodies, this river is festering with disease and decay, but unfortunately it is the only source of bathing and drinking water for many of the districts residents. Fogwick Graveyard – The largest graveyard in the kingdom, the one at Fogwick caters mainly to the disposal of the very poor and unmissed. As such, mass graves are the norm here and headstones and other grave markers are few and far between. Many people claim this place is haunted and cursed, their imaginations no doubt fed by the complete lack of plant life in this region. However, crows, dogs and other animals are often found feeding upon corpses that were buried too shallowly. New Places of InterestNew places of interest can be added to this listing. If you have an idea for a new place of interest to add to this district, please fill out the following and send it in a PM to Sam. If it is suitable and fitting for the setting and that particular district, it will be added to the list above. Places of interest that have a lot of threads being set in them may be given their own sub-board within the district. - Code:
