Ruler: The High Council
Population: Moderate-low
Wealth: Moderate-poor
Law enforcement: Oakhaven Guard
Education: Moderate-low, concerned primarily with tending to and defending the forests

A fairly large land of woodlands and forests, Oakhaven is a peaceful district mostly made up of like-minded nature worshippers. Crimes against nature are severely punished here, and a large amount of the day is made up of praise for nature and the seasons. Education is not a primary concern here and many of the people are illiterate, but their skills and knowledge about the woods and how to work them are second to none. They teach respectful farming and hunting practices, as well as forestry crafts, survival skills and wilderness lore. The primary exports from this region are timber, rare plants and woodland crafts, but there is also a growing trade in exotic animals and their hides.

The forests are a fairly safe place and fighting between the various houses is quite rare, but the wildlife that haunts through the trees can be deadly if you do not have the knowledge and experience to take it down. Disrespectful hunting and the killing of pregnant or nursing female animals is strictly forbidden.

Places of Interest

Oakwood Hall – The centre of the Oakhaven community, Oakwood Hall is a collection of buildings wherein the council resides and all manners of trade and communication commence. Many craftsmen sell their wares here, and traders from other districts often gather here to exchange goods and services.

Silverbranch Academy - This small school is tucked away in a grove of silver birch trees, and caters only to those who have a magical ability or traditional skills that can aid the district and nature in general. Children able to speak with animals, control plants or other such skills can study here for free. For others there is a low charge, and the school is primarily funded through donations.

Silver Lake – Located in the heart of the serene forest, Silver Lake has a beautiful waterfall tumbling into the depths and is home to many different fishes and water creatures. Young children often come here to catch fireflies and other insects, and it is a popular swimming area in the summer.

Church of Viss – The largest of several churches in Oakhaven, the church of Viss is dedicated to the very lifestyle that the people of Oakhaven adhere to. It offers advice and support to those travelling through and hunting in the forests, as well as blessings to those who seek to protect nature and the way of life of the people that reside here.

Nature's Heart – Believed to be the largest living thing in the kingdom, Nature's Heart is a colossal oak tree rumoured to be thousands of years old, and also rumoured to be the source of power for druids. The tree is a popular sight with visitors to the region and is revered by the people of Oakhaven. Guarded day and night, attempts to cause any harm to this tree are punishable by death.

Nature's Fury – An ancient and knotted oak tree that has never borne leaves or acorns, Nature's Fury has black bark and twisted branches that make for a very eerie sight. Eerier still are the cages that swing from its branches, where those who defile the land are left for the wildlife to claim.

Shadowborne Cavern – Deep in the depths of the forest, the Shadowborne Cavern is a place of darkness and fear. The very air around it seems to hang heavy and oppressive, and few are able to venture more than a few meters into its clutches before bolting out again. No one knows quite why the cavern is so foreboding, but there are many different rumours and stories about just what might be lurking deep in the darkness below the earth.
