The paths and roads linking the districts in the kingdom are known collectively as the Strongbridge Ways, and though they are neutral territories untouched by district wars, they have their dangers in the forms of wild creatures and deadly plants. Of course, a travelling rogue could prove equally deadly if the situation is not handled correctly. Watchmen from Serenity do make infrequent patrols along the roads, but as a general rule they are unguarded and treacherous. Travelling them alone is widely regarded as a very unwise move. However, caravans journeying along them from one district to another are very common, and they are generally safe to travel with.


Places of Note

The Five League Inn – Located five leagues away from Serenity on the long road that connects the capitol to Blueway, this large inn has numerous rooms available for the night and affordable, decent quality meals available. Several large guard dogs heavily protect it, and as it is a favourite haunt of many Watchmen causing trouble here is very much not recommended.

Shrines – Dotted at irregular intervals along the roads are small shrines to Taia, the goddess of travel and adventure. They are marked by large stones bearing the symbol of the eight-spoked wheel, and gifts can be laid in the magically protected chests there. There are also shrines to Viss, the god of nature, hunting, freedom and animals, but these are much less common and tend to be nothing more than a rock engraved with the promise to give back to the earth and not just take from it.
